Four members of a family were found dead at a residence in Desa ParkCity, Persiaran Residen, on Thursday (27 August), with three of the victims suffering severe injuries to their necks.
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus stated that police received a report at around 3:32 PM after a 48-year-old man was found to have fallen from a condominium unit.
Wife and children found dead inside unit
Following the report, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) dispatched officers to the unit. With assistance from the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), they gained entry into the home.
Inside the residence, officers discovered three other deceased victims in separate rooms.

The victims were identified as a 47-year-old woman, believed to be the man’s wife, and their two young children, a nine-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy.
“All three victims were found with severe injuries to the neck,” Fadil said in a statement on Thursday night (August 27), according to Harian Metro.
Investigations ongoing
Police also recovered a knife believed to have been used in the incident. However, Fadil noted that the motive and exact circumstances surrounding the deaths remain under investigation.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, whilst the man’s death has been classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR) pending further enquiries.
