
KOTA BELUD: A family of six was made homeless after their house was destroyed in a fire at Kg Timbang Tamu, along Jalan Kota Belud-Kudat, Wednesday.
No one was hurt in the fire that started at 6.35pm. Kota Belud District Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) chief, Muhammad Syazwan Latun said, an emergency call was received at 6.41pm.
A total of eight firemen rushed to the scene with a machine and a utility vehicle of the Emergency Service Assistance Unit (EMRS).
“Upon arriving at the location, the non-permanent two-storey house was totally destroyed.”

“The operation ended at 8.25pm later while the cause of the incident and the estimated loss are still under investigation,” he said.
