MSP are now haggling over a price for 25 per cent of the Toffees.
The Daily Mail says, however, that 777 still intend to invest in a Premier League club.
777 already hold interest to varying degrees in Sevilla, Hertha Berlin, Standard Liege, Vasco da Gama and Melbourne Victory.
