Montpellier president Laurent Nicollin is delighted with their swoop for Stephy Mavididi.
Montpellier splashed out to sign the striker permanently from Juventus after he impressed on-loan with Dijon last season.
Nicollin has promised the former Arsenal striker he now has every chance of breaking into the England squad.
"We are happy that he chose Montpellier to continue his career. It is a source of satisfaction for us to have taken a striker of this level who the coach had requested," he said.
"I hope that our pair of attackers can now become a trio, it will be up to the coach to find the right ideas to play with one, two or with all three. Together I hope one day, thanks to his work here, he may enter the English national team."
