Mikael Cuisance's future at Bayern Munich is set to be settled at the end of next month.
The midfielder, 20, has been linked with Marseille, though has talked up the prospect of a move to Manchester City and the chance to work with manager Pep Guardiola.
L'Equipe says Cuisance will enter talks with Bayern coach Hansi Flick at the end of their Champions League campaign, with his future to be discussed.
Earlier this month, Cuisance said: "If I was approached by Manchester City? It's hard to say no to Pep Guardiol.
"Because we know what coach he is, the way he plays his teams.
"I've exchanged nice things with Pep (smile). It will stay between us. Maybe I'll find him one day (smile)."
