Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits he rates Thiago Alcantara highly.
The wantaway Bayern Munich midfielder is eager to join the Reds this summer.
Asked about the situation, Klopp told Sky Deutschland: "I have no idea who will play for me next year, there is nothing to say right now.
"Thiago Alcántara is a fantastic player, but also a Bayern Munich player. That's actually all there is to say.
"There is nothing to say."
Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge announced this week they were prepared to sell Thiago this summer.
