Manchester City chief Txiki Begiristain is weighing up a move for Valencia attacker Ferran Torres.
The youngster is resisting new contract talks with Los Che and has been linked with Liverpool.
However, Cadena SER says Begiristain and City manager Pep Guardiola are also considering a move for the player.
Indeed, City are now preparing a 'substantial bid' for Torres, 20, who appears ready to leave the Mestalla this summer.
So far this season, Torres has scored six goals and produced seven assists in 41 competitive games.
