Espanyol striker Wu Lei is attracting interest from Besiktas.
Fotospor says the Turkish club believe a deal could be possible for the Chinese international, who they have targeted before, now that Espanyol have lost their top-flight status.
Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Çebi feels Wu Lei would be a good signing on the pitch and also hopes ghe would bring in a new group of sponsors from China.
After signing Wu Lei, Espanyol, who have Chinese owners, brokered sponsorship deals with Irongest, Suanfarma Pharmaceutical Group, iFlyTek and China Mobile in China.
Thanks to Wu Lei, Espanyol have almost 10 million followers in China and sold around 250,000 shirts in the Asian country.
