Manchester City are confident they won't lose Eric Garcia back to Barcelona this summer.
City are keen to secure the defender to new terms amid speculation Barca are launching a bid to re-sign the La Masia graduate.
However, Cadena SER says Barca have not made any effort to open negotiations with City for Garcia.
Instead, City manager Pep Guardiola is counting on the youngster signing new terms and being available to him for next season.
He stated, “Eric has a contract for an additional season. If Barça wants him, they have to call him, but we will try to convince him that we want him here for many years."
