Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to move for Barcelona utility Sergi Roberto.
Sport says Guardiola has pushed City to make a bid for the 28 year-old midfielder.
For the moment, Barca have no interest in selling and are confident Roberto will not agitate for a move away.
However, City are planning to ask the question in the coming weeks.
Roberto has a contract with Barca to 2022.
