Enforcement activity for monitoring and controlling the establishments of illegal squatters can be effectively conducted with the support of proper technologies, said Sustainability Expert (Ecological, Economic and Social) Dr Raymond Alfred. He highlighted the importance of this in a MyCommunity (Sabah) Programme carried out in Tenghilan, Tamparuli, recently. “We are facing serious problem with squatters in Sabah and this is happening in Tamparuli particularly. Squatters are people who have occupied land or property without permission and in most instances without knowledge of the property owners.
