3 make national back-up squad

Kota Kinabalu: Newly-elected Sabah Aquatic Sports Association (Sasa) President Daniel Lee Jun Qi (pic) congratulated State swimmers Samuel Ng, Nuri Saadan Khaulid and Loo Yie Bing for being drafted into the national back-up squad recently.

The three are among the 19 athletes called up by the national body (Malaysia Swimming) based on their performance at the national age group championship in March as well as meeting the criteria set by them.

“These swimmers have earned their spot through hard work and dedication. Their recognition has also shown the calibre and dedication of our coaches in the State.

“On behalf of the association and all its committee members, I would like to congratulate them for their achievement,” he said.
