Turtles making comeback in Libaran

Kota Kinabalu: Turtles are hitting records on Libaran Island, 40 minutes by boat from Sandakan.

For four consecutive nights, four different Green turtles landed on the island without a break since Walai Penyu Conservation park set up its hatchery on the island on Nov 9 in 2011, said Executive Director Alex Yee (pic). 

The best previous record were three consecutive nights, he noted.
