Villarreal coach Unai Emery is pushing to sign Tottenham defender Juan Foyth.
Emery is counting on the Argentine being available from Spurs before Monday's transfer deadline.
There have been rumours of interest from the likes of Valencia and Leeds United. But now Villarreal seem to be winning the tug-of-war over Foyth.
That's according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who stated: "Juan Foyth is expected to join Villarreal on loan with a buy option [€15m] from Tottenham.
"Last details to be sorted soon. Villarreal will pay 100% of his salary. Foyth turned down two bids from Italy to join Villarreal."
