Cruz Azul coach Robert Dante Siboldi has admitted frustration losing Igor Lichnovsky to Al-Shabab.
The Chile defender is joining the Saudi Arabian outfit this week.
“Igor's departure was not in plans, this came at the last minute. It is a situation that is a personal matter for him," said Siboldi.
"I hope there are no more changes and departures because we would be affected by not having it planned."
Lichnovsky was a first-choice for Siboldi, playing every minute of the last 11 Cruz Azul games. The Chile international, 26, is a former Porto and Real Valladolid player.
