Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has been hammered for his form with France.
While a favourite of Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps, Kante has his critics in the local media.
Among those is pundit Pierre Menes, who declared after France's 0-0 draw with Portugal: "I will perhaps attract the wrath of some, but too bad ... Of course, he works, he collects balls.
"But he also made a lot of mistakes. And above all, with the ball he's almost nothing. He never plays forward, takes no risks.
"Once again, in such a defensive team, the midfielders must be able to do more things with the ball."
