Barcelona management weren't concerned missing out on Gini Wijnaldum over the summer.

While Barca coach Ronald Koeman has admitted he wanted to sign the Liverpool midfielder, his board had other priorities.

The Catalans, reports Sport, were focused on strengthening their defence and attack ahead of the midfield.

However, Wijnaldum is on their shopping list and a move in January is now being discussed.

While he has less than a year to run on his Reds deal, Barca would be willing to cough up a nominal fee to prise him away from Anfield over the New Year.
