Manchester City are ready to make Kevin de Bruyne the highest paid player in their history.
HLN says City are happy with the progress of new contract talks with the Belgium international.
De Bruyne currently has a deal to 2023 and an agreement is close to being struck over a two-year extension to 2025.
The midfielder is currently on €350,000-a-week and while the new figure hasn't been disclosed, it will make him the highest paid in City's history.
De Bruyne said recently: "In recent years there have been many teams that have checked out, but to be honest I am very happy with City. I play for one of the best teams in the world."
