Kota Kinabalu: Upko President Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau (pic) said there should at least be an apology by Sabah PAS over the utterances by the party’s leaders in peninsula which has angered Sabahans, particularly Christians. Referring to the public outrage over the appointment of a Nominated Assemblyman despite PAS having lost its deposit in over 30 years of contests in Sabah elections as well as not standing in the recent State election, he said there is a reason why PAS does not fit into Sabah’s culture. “We admit they (PAS) have long been established here, but the people never recognised them…the proof is that they never won a single seat,” he said in a statement, Friday.
