Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud will fight for his place and then evaluate his circumstances in January.
The Frenchman is behind the likes of Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner in the starting line up pecking order.
He hopes to play for France at next summer's Euro 2021 tournament. But for now, he wants to focus on fighting for his Chelsea place.
The former Arsenal star told reporters: "I've written a book called 'Always Believe It' so I'm not going to go anywhere without a fight.
"There is competition but I will fight and we saw the rewards of that at the end of last season.
"I am convinced that I have a role to play at Chelsea. We will see in January."
