Muslims advised on prayers

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Islamic Religious Affairs Department (Jheains) advised Muslims to continue to comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set by the government when performing religious activities at mosques and suraus.

Its Director Datuk Saifulzaman Sangul (pic) said Muslims in the yellow and green zone districts can perform the obligatory congregational prayers with the number of 12 people only, while the Friday prayers not exceeding 40 people.

 People in the red zones, he said, are not allowed to perform congregational prayers in mosques as a measure to break the chain of the Covid-19 transmissions, except for the call to prayer.
