Sergio Romero is pleading with Manchester United to cancel his contract.

The Argentine, 33, was left stranded at Old Trafford on deadline day after United demanded 10m for his signature.

Romero has been left out of United's Champions League squad and will not play this season unless he leaves the club.

As such, the Daily Mail says Romero has asked United if they can terminate his contract immediately.

The former Sampdoria man would also be willing to waive his £1.5m compensation fee in order to leave the club.

Romero, who has been with United since 2015, has attracted interest from Major League Soccer.
