Ministry clarifies on the number of beds available

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s hospital bed occupancy rate is at 52.5 per cent and not 99.5 per cent as previously stated, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun. 

He clarified that there was a misunderstanding with the figures and that the 99.5pc occupancy rate was based on a cumulative figure and not on active cases. 

The cumulative figure included the number of patients who have been admitted and discharged from the hospital.
