Manchester United are confident confirming Edinson Cavani's signing on Monday.
The Daily Mail says United have agreed a two year contract with 33-year-old free agent Edinson Cavani.
Talks advanced quickly on Saturday and the Uruguay international striker will undergo a medical over the next 24 hours prior to signing a deal until 2022 on wages of around £210,000-a-week after tax. He is expected to be confirmed as a United player on Monday.
Walter Guglielmone, Cavani's agent, told Inside Futbol on Saturday night: "It's true. There is an agreement."
United turned to Cavani at the culmination of what has proved another testing transfer window.
