Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has revealed how manager Frank Lampard helped convince him about moving to London.
Lampard has been keen to get personally involved in Chelsea's arrivals and the case of former PSG captain Thiago Silva was no different.
The Brazil international recalled: "When I was about to join Chelsea and had given my consent, he (Frank Lampard) sent me a message.
"It was a photo of the two of us, during a friendly match at the Maracanã, which ended in a draw, 2-2.
"It was a big surprise for me, because I couldn't remember who was the captain in that game.
"And I did not expect to be coached by him one day..."
