Southampton are still without Mohamed Salisu and Will Smallbone.
Summer signing Salisu has yet to make an appearance for the club as he continues to build fitness, while Smallbone is battling back from a thigh injury.
Saints play Newcastle United on Friday night, but they won't have either player in their line-up.
Asked by the Daily Echo, Hasenhuttl said: "They are further in their development, but still not available for Friday."
