Railway quarters razed in Bongawan 

A WOODEN quarters belonging to the Sabah Railway Department in Pekan Bongawan was destroyed in a fire in Bongawan, Monday. Kimanis Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Johainin Ruslan, on Tuesday, said eight firefighters were deployed to the scene following a 5.47pm distressed call. Ninety per cent of the empty premises were already engulfed in flames by the time the team arrived.  The cause of fire and estimated loss are still being probed.
