THE Malaysian India Muslim Congress (Kimma) Sabah branch refuted claims by the Sabah Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) Chairman Peer Muhammad Kadir that employees of the Indian-operated coffee shops and eateries in Sabah are not complying with the Ministry of Health’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Covid-19.

Kimma President Abdul Baree bin Habeeb (pic), in response to a statement by the latter in a local newspaper on Nov 15, said the information in question was incorrect.

He said Peer should look after the handful of MIC members in Sabah, rather than interfering in the affairs of hundreds of Indian-Muslim restaurants and workers in Sabah, who are members of Kimma.
