BEAUFORT: The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) Beaufort Division is calling on all traders to comply with the regulations on the pricing of controlled goods in the coming Deepavali celebrations.

Its Head Julie Julhani said KPDNHEP would continue to monitor all supermarkets, sundry shops and general markets to ensure compliance among traders.

“KPDNHEP would like to sternly warn against traders from taking the opportunity to profiteer by hiking up the prices,” she said after launching the Deepavali Maximum Price Scheme in conjunction with Deepavali 2020 at Bestamart Beaufort, here, Monday.
