More workers to be recruited to distribute food baskets

PUTATAN: The number of people distributing food baskets to those affected by the Covid-19 will be increased following inclusion of e-Kasih recipients.

Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Shahelmey Yahya said more food baskets will be given out to eligible recipients when the State Government decided to expand the food assistance to those listed under e-Kasih.

Initially, he said the distribution of the food baskets was for two target groups which are those people living in areas that are placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (Emco) and families undergoing quarantine under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Sabah.
