Bashir is made new LC head

LABUAN: Senator Datuk Bashir Alias (pic), 55, who is also Umno divisional chairman here, has been appointed Chairman of the Advisory Council of Labuan Corporation, filling a post which had been vacant several months.

His appointment was made by Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa who stated in a letter that the appointment was effective from September 1 to June 2022.

The seven member advisory council became non-functional due to lack of quorum since last March after the change of government.
