Kota Kinabalu: The Higher Education Ministry (MoHE) is targeting about 8,200 recipients with an allocation of RM32.14 million, for its Foundation Financial Assistance (BKA) programme in 2021.

“For 2020, some 8,132 students were given the BKA, involving fee payment aid of RM1,420 and a RM2,500 allowance a year,” said the Ministry, in a statement.

BKA, it said, is a targeted financial assistance for students from the B40 and M40 groups with a household income of less than RM10,000 who had been offered to enrol a foundation programme in the 12 public universities in the country.
