Schalke sports director Jochen Schneider admits Ozan Kabak could be on the move in January.
The Turkish defender is being linked with Liverpool and AC Milan ahead of the January market.
Schneider told WAZ: “Milan knocked at the very end of the transfer period in summer, which was out of the question for us. I've only read what has been written in the last ten days.
"We are still in economically challenging times, which you can see from the fact that this season may have to be played to the end without any spectators.
"I cannot and do not want to rule out anything."
