Jetro Willems has rejected a new contract offer from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Evening Chronicle says the wing-back has turned down the proposal as he seeks a return to Newcastle United.
Willems spent last season on-loan at Newcastle before his stay was cut short due to a serious knee injury.
His agent Sigi Lens said: "Jetro was very comfortable in Newcastle and he said he felt at home.
"Of course he would like to return if the opportunity arises."
