PENAMPANG: Chairman of the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Kapayan Constituency Liaison Committee (CLC) Chairman Chong Pit Fah (pic) was appointed a member to the Penampang District Council, Monday. His past experiences and abilities as its former vice chairman (Penampang District Council) are recognised by the State government. Chong, in his first statement after his swearing-in as a councillor, strongly supports the initiative of Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, Sabah Minister of Local Government and Housing-cum-Second Minister of Finance to implement an electronic government system.

He said the implementation could improve administrative efficiency and eliminate unnecessary red tape. If the new electronic admin system were implemented, investors could be attracted to Penampang. The system will eliminate many red-taped related deterrents and revive and boost economic activities in Penampang.
