Manchester City intend to launch a summer bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

The Times says City have identified the Norwegian as the successor for Sergio Aguero.

Haaland's deal has a €75m buyout clause which becomes live from 2022, but City are prepared to pay higher next summer to bring the youngster to England.

And City hold an advantage over rivals as Haaland's father Alf-Inge Haaland is a former player for the Sky Blues and has retained a good relationship with the club.

Since joining Borussia Dortmund in Januart, Haaland has managed to score 33 goals in 32 games in all competitions.
