CEOs see MCO as a threat to business

Kota Kinabalu: The biggest threat to businesses resulting in their closure, according to most CEOs, is another lockdown (Movement Control Order) due to the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in lower productivity, production, sales, demand, revenue, capacity utilization, as well as delay in loan disbursement, poor cash flow and shortage of raw materials.

These expressed views from Malaysia’s CEOs surveyed for the Vistage-MIER (Malaysian Institute of Economic Research) CEO Confidence Index were revealed at a G&A Group organised Zoom seminar “2021 Budget & CEO Outlook” moderated by Dato’ George Lim of G&A Group, recently, in association with PUMM and Vistage Malaysia.

Presenter Wong Chin Mun said the popular call amidst the current pandemic is for businesses to “Pivot and Prosper”.
