Fire simulation training for all flat residents

Kota Kinabalu: Starting early next year, all flat tenants will be required to undergo fire safety simulation training as the main requirement to occupy multi-storey residence.

Housing and Urban Development Authority (LPPB) Chairman, Datuk Masiung Banah (pic), said an “Accident Action Plan” would be introduced to enable residents to be skilled in critical safety features in the event of a fire. 

“Every household head is required to have a certificate of safety simulation training completion as a mandatory condition for them and their families to occupy a flat.
