Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heaped praise on Paul Pogba after Thursday's 3-2 win over Sheffield United.

The French midfielder played an influential role in the victory at Bramall Lane.

"He's a Man United guy," Solskjaer said of Pogba. "He's been at this club when he was a kid and came back again. This is his home.

"He gives his best for us in training and the games and today he was exceptional."

Pogba became the centre of controversy recently when his agent, Mino Raiola, stated he was unhappy at the club and would seek an exit.

But Solskjaer has stuck by the World Cup winner, starting him in United's last two Premier League matches.

Juventus continued to be linked with a move for the 27-year-old, while Real Madrid have also been touted as a potential suitor.
