Kota Kinabalu: Johor Police Chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay confirmed that the deaths of two Sabahan siblings earlier this month in Johor Baru were due to methanol poisoning from consuming adulterated beer. However, it was not known whether they died as a result of consuming the beer straight from the can or it had been mixed with unknown substance/s. The nephew of one of the victims provided to Daily Express a screen shot of the beer that they had been allegedly consuming.
