Ready to face Beaufort flooding

BEAUFORT: The Fire and Rescue Department here is prepared for any possibilities following flash floods which hit the district after heavy rains since Saturday caused the Padas River to overflow. 

 “We have various logistics ready for this,” said District Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Mohammad Hasbollah Nenggok.

 He also reminded the public to take extra precautions such as ensuring their safety and the safety of their families during flood season.

 “Do not allow children to play in the flood because we never know the danger it poses, in addition to the possible health risks brought by the floods,” he said.
