SANDAKAN: Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) here received a total of 748 emergency calls including 524 cases involving special duties throughout 2020.Deputy Head of Zone, Sandakan Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, Firdaus Ahmad (pic), said of the total, 224 cases were those involving fire. He said in all the cases it was found that five people were reported dead in accidents while 15 people were reported to have suffered with injuries in fires and accidents.

“Over the past year, the interpretation of losses due to fires and accidents is estimated to be worth RM12,096,500 where in this amount BBP Sandakan has managed to save property worth about RM3,858,967.00,” he said.
