RANAU: The Ranau Fire and Rescue Department recorded a 9.4pc drop of house fires in 2020, compared to the previous years with 58 cases from January to December.Ranau Fire and Rescue Chief Ridwan Mohd Taib said, active campaigning by the department in spreading awareness to the public about the danger of fire hazards contributed to the slight decline. “The number of recorded cases in 2019 was 60. This, signify that people are becoming more conscious of the importance of making safety a priority.
