Manchester United Double winner Paul Parker is backing their move for Atletico Madrid fullback Kieran Trippier.
Trippier has been linked with United in recent weeks.
Parker told Goal: "I really like Kieran Trippier at Atletico Madrid. He has become a better defender and much more disciplined by playing under Diego Simeone. In addition, he is really good offensively. United need him.
"However, I'm not sure if he would want to leave Madrid for Manchester, in that case it would be if his family does not thrive there.
"But I would not stress such a decision."
