Schalke sporting director Jochen Schneider has welcomed the return of Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac.
Kolasinac has joined on a six month loan with the aim of signing permanently in June.
Schneider said, “We have worked hard on Sead Kolasinac's return and are really proud that a real Schalke boy is returning home.
"Sead embodies exactly the values that distinguish Schalke 04 and which are elementary in the fight to stay in the league: an irrepressible will and a strong character."
Kolasinac (27) moves back to his formative club after three and a half years with Arsenal.
