Atletico Madrid ace Luis Suarez has thanked local pundit Alfredo Martinez for his support.
Martinez slammed Barcelona in a social media post yesterday after Suarez scored for LaLiga leaders Atletico in victory over Alaves.
He stated: "The genius who decided to fire Luis Suárez: he sacked one of the greatest world scorers of recent years, paid him his contract, strengthened a direct rival and disappointed his main star for whom he was the ideal partner (Lionel Messi). All in one. Congratulations."
Suarez saw the post and was quick to respond.
He replied: "Thank you Alfredo for always supporting me".
