Kota Kinabalu: The number of flood victims increased to 716 people in 11 districts across the interior and west coast of Sabah on Monday. The districts are Kota Belud, Beaufort, Kudat, Membakut, Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Penampang, Tuaran, Kota Kinabalu, Tenom, Lahad Datu. As of 4pm on Monday, the State Civil Defence Force, recorded 17 Temporary Flood Relief Centres opened and some 225 villages affected.

From the statistics, Tuaran had the most villages affected with a total of 44, followed by Paitan (42), Kota Belud (38), Papar (34), Beaufort (29), Penampang (19), Kota Kinabalu (14), Putatan (three) and Tenom (two).
