Monza football chief Filippo Antonelli has admitted interest in Fiorentina attacker Franck Ribery.
The French veteran is in his second season with Fiorentina and comes off contract in June.
Ribery has spoken about returning to the Bundesliga, though Monza are also keen.
"It is one of the dreams for the next transfer market, it is legitimate to speak of such a coup in a Serie A perspective," said Antonelli.
Monza will move for Ribery should they secure promotion to Serie A.
