Kota Kinabalu: Kapayan Assemblywoman, Jannie Lasimbang fully supports the Top-Up Women-Only Additional Seats (TWOAS) initiative by the Penang Government and hopes Sabah will also increase its assemblywomen through the TWOAS system.

“To empower women, it is important to set a quota of 30 per cent women’s involvement to ensure that they too are policy- and decision-makers. It is unacceptable that only seven out of 73 elected assemblymen (9.6 per cent) in Sabah are women,” she said in a statement, here, Monday.
