KOTA KINABALU: Family reunion dinners for Chinese New Year will now be permitted, following the approval from the National Security Council (NSC) technical meeting, according to a statement by the National Unity Ministry, Sunday.

The meeting chaired by Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has allowed the dinners to be conducted with a limit of 15 family members living within a 10-kilometre radius and must not involve inter-district or inter-state travel.

Religious activities in houses of worship on Feb 11, 12 and 19 are also permitted subject to strict adherence of the set standard operating procedures (SOPs).
